Hello my dear
This is a picture of an angry walrus, and for reasons I am too busy to analyse, I find it totes awesome and hilarious.
My dear, I would tell you news of the Homeland but I'm afraid I've spent the last two weeks in 18th Century England. Sometimes it surprises even me how much I would rather be getting down with my Georgian self. I watched a BBC dramatisation of Clarissa last night and it was incredibly melodramatic - quite amazingly so. I should have probably read more about the novel before I watched it. But I was blinded by the costumes on the cover, rendering me unable to make an informed choice of DVD. I started watching another BBC dramatisation too - Vanity Fair. If you only watch one BBC dramatisation, may I suggest you go for this one? It's fab.
Mostly otherwise I have been saving money, knitting, spinning and making underwear. What a busy wee life I have.
Some other things:
- Today I have nominated as a "Buy Nothing" day. I like the idea of having one of these at least once a week.
- I complained about somebody I have to deal with and my boss tried to talk to me reasonably and explain the situation. And I was like "NO. I'm just COMPLAINING".
- The problem really comes down to the fact that when I'm at work I hate talking to people on the telephone. SO. BAD. Shannon is always telling me I should get the hell over this. My boss, apparently, agrees.
- I'm working up a new list of things to finish before the end of the year - ten more things for 2010?
- I am super enthused about my own blog at the moment hence my neglect of YOOOU.
- I am listening to National Radio at the moment, and I've just realised how similar Sarah McLachlan is to Tory Amos. I used to love Tory Amos. Also, I love Kate Bush at the moment. She's so awesome.
Alright, I'm going to go and get boring on my own. And maybe make some phone calls (glare, annoyance, etc).
Actually, it's kind of more of a seal. But heyho.
